Every month I challenged us all to make four invitations. We did have a lot of first time guests visit this every month, and I know several of them were the results of personal invitations you made. Fantastic!
 

I want to stay on this topic and encourage us all to keep making every effort to invite our friends, neighbors, co-workers and family to attend a worship service with you. Here’s why. I honestly believe experiencing the presence of God in the midst of people who are truly worshiping Him is a very powerful experience for un-churched Christians and non Christians alike.

Every person who has ever taken a breath was made to worship. We are designed by God to worship Him. The sad fact is most people fill that void with the worship of other things like pleasure, hobbies, power or relationships. None of those satisfy the heart of worship God instills in us.

So, when you invite a friend or neighbor and they come to experience a group of people doing what we were all made to do, it resonates and is compelling for them.

So again, I want to urge you to step out of your comfort zone and get started inviting people to join you for one of our worship services. I would encourage you to use those words as well – worship service – instead of church service. See if it makes a difference. Be ready to tell them briefly what your experience is like.

You are so blessed to be a part of an amazingly friendly and authentic group of Christ followers. Take advantage of that asset and trust that any person who steps through our doors as a result of your invitation will be loved and accepted as they are. Through that, they can have the opportunity to hear the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ.
